Together Energy has received a number of queries from former OneSelect customers regarding the increased tariff that they have been transferred to.
The process for failed suppliers requires energy companies to bid to OFGEM to take over the customers. Together Energy was selected to service the customers on the basis of the competitiveness of its bid.
Many OneSelect customers were on fixed rate tariffs that were set when wholesale energy prices were much lower. Such prices were unrealistically low and cannot be delivered in today’s environment.
Together Energy has some of the lowest operating costs in the industry which allow us to remain competitive in the energy supply market and we want customers to benefit from this.
Customers should be assured that throughout this transition Together Energy has followed a carefully managed OFGEM process. Our teams have worked very hard to ensure customers are registered as quickly as possible over the festive period, which will allow customers to switch to other Together Energy tariffs or another supplier.
Our tariff is only 3.5% higher than the most recent OneSelect tariff, which represents an annual increase of £37. For the period whilst your switch is in progress we estimate this to be £3.08.
